NHM President Re-Elected to Board of National Health Educator Organization
NHM President Mark Dunham has been elected to his second term of service on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Health Education Centers (NAHEC).
NAHEC works to support the development and advancement of interactive health education centers that provide children, and the adults that care for them, access to innovative, community-based educational programs and resources. In 2005, over 3.7 million children and adults were served by NAHEC’s network of more than 60 member institutions and organizations across the U.S. NAHEC members serve a vital role in education, especially in improving the well being of the nation’s youth, by providing the knowledge and awareness needed to make healthy life decisions, prevent disease and injury, and understand their bodies.
“The vision that NAHEC is actively working to advance at the community level is completely synergistic with the pro-health mission and objectives of the National Health Museum,” said Dunham. “My involvement – and NHM’s – with NAHEC has been very positive and beneficial and I am honored to have the opportunity to continue my service.”
