Founders' Campaign

Visionary Leaders Laying the Foundation for a Healthier Nation

A great vision, a common goal, and hard work are all important in the creation of a museum, but without money, it won’t happen. Fortunately, individuals and corporations around the country are generously helping. Our current list of major contributors appears here.

The National Health Museum has announced a Founders’ Campaign goal of $20 million. Founders’ gifts start at $250,000 and there are three levels of giving:

A substantial gift to the Museum is a legacy. The names of the great nineteenth century philanthropists like Andrew Carnegie are known today not so much for what they achieved in business but for what they gave back to the communities in which they lived. The museums and universities they founded have kept their names and their memories alive.

Future generations of Americans will live in a world much more complicated than ours. But one thing will remain constant: their desire to live as long, as healthily and as happily as possible. The medicines and medical technologies of today will seem quaint fifty years from now. But the National Health Museum will be keeping up with the times and helping improve health for generations to come.

You can support the National Health Museum even if you don’t have the means to give at the Founders' Campaign level (see this page). But if you know of a company, foundation or individual who might be interested in being part of the Founders’ Campaign, please call the Museum at (202) 737-2670.
